The University of Cincinnati Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience offers excellent educational opportunities and programs to medical students, residents and fellows.
The department is dedicated to developing exceptional psychiatric physicians who are skillfully prepared to care for patients suffering emotional, mental and behavioral problems.
The department is nationally and internationally renowned in many important and diverse areas. The faculty have a reputation for excellence, and their own investigations and clinical practice, publications and presentations at scientific meetings and memberships on major committees and editorial boards provide access to the latest and best information available in the field of psychiatry.
Residency training programs are available in general psychiatry, family medicine and psychiatry and pediatrics/psychiatry/child psychiatry. Fellowship programs are available in child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, addiction medicine and geropsychiatry.
