Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship
The University of Cincinnati Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience offers nationally recognized excellence in training forensic psychiatry fellows.
The program includes high-quality training experiences, with experiential instruction at a number of sites in Greater Cincinnati including the Hamilton County judicial system and Ohio Department of Mental Health facilities.The program also includes two sequential classes at the UC College of Law.
By the end of the academic year, the fellow is expected to complete a scholarly project suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed forensic journal.
Douglas Mossman, MD, is director of forensic psychiatry training and also director of the Glenn M. Weaver Institute of Law and Psychiatry at the UC College of Law.
In May 2008, Dr. Mossman received the Manfred S. Guttmacher Award from the American Psychiatric Association for his outstanding contributions to the literature in forensic psychiatry (see photo, left).
