Effectiveness of switching from injectable conventional antipsychotic medications to injectable risperidone (PI: H. Nasrallah)

Eligibility
• Adults (at least 18 years old) with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are currently receiving a first generation depot antipsychotic and have residual symptoms or side effects from this medication
• Outpatient

Patient Benefits
• Eligible participants may receive study medication and study-related procedures/visits at no cost, and compensation for participation, time, and travel
• Open-label to patient, prescribing physician, and study coordinator

Effectiveness of switching from polypharmacy to monotherapy (PI: H. Nasrallah)

Eligibility
• Adults (at least 18 years old) with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are currently receiving two antipsychotic medications and have residual symptoms or side effects from these medications
• Outpatient

Clinical management of metabolic problems in patients with schizophrenia: switching to aripiprazole versus continued treatment with olanzapine, quetiapine, or risperidone (PI: H. Nasrallah)

Eligibility
• Adults (at least 18 years old) with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are currently receiving olanzapine, quetiapine, or risperidone and have residual symptoms or side effects from this medication
• Outpatient
