Cincinnati Addiction Research Center (CinARC)
CinARC, within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, is dedicated to conducting research to improve substance abuse treatment. Much of CinARC's work focuses on identifying effective pharmacotherapies to treat substance use disorders and understanding systems and policies that facilitate enhanced access to evidence-based treatment.
CinARC research is supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse with some clinical trial support from the pharmaceutical industry.
Theresa Winhusen, Ph.D. and Eugene Somoza, M.D., Ph.D. are co-directors of CinARC.
